In addition to her new Doyle Mainsail she has a 135% Genoa, a 90 % Jib and a new Spinnaker w/ sock, all self tailing Barient winches and a hydraulic backstay adjuster. Nice new Cockpit Cushions and canvas make cruising comfortable in her extended Mark II Center Cockpit. Designed by German Frers and built by Queen Long Marine, one of the top yards in Taiwan. The Hylas 44 is a proven circumnavigator that combines sound design, quality construction and a yacht class finish. This MK II version includes a cockpit modification that is a little longer and deeper than the original design providing more room for crew.  

The hull is hand laid reinforced with longitudinal stringers. Ballast is a bolted on lead cruising fin keel and the rudder is mounted on a beefy skeg. The interior is beautifully finished in teak with a teak and holly sole.

Equipment includes a 55 hp Yanmar diesel that will power her at 8 knots with 75 gal. of fuel in 3 aluminum tanks. There are 2 heads each with it's own shower, 200 gal. of water, hot and cold pressure water in both heads and the galley, tank tender, Espar diesel furnace and a Red Dot heater, AC/DC holding plate refrigeration and deep freeze, 3 burner propane stove with oven, and manual fresh and saltwater galley pumps.  An electric windlass, Delta Plow anchor with all chain rode, dingy davits, hard dodger with a complete cockpit enclosure and much more.

Accommodations
The Hylas 44 features a spacious interior that is extensively finished in warm, rich teak. There are two spacious double cabins. The forward cabin consists of a double V-berth and excellent storage in hanging lockers and cabinets. A private head is aft of the forward cabin to port. The salon features a U-shaped settee with double drop-leaf table to port with a straight settee to starboard. The straight settee can be converted to a double berth. Bookcases with fiddles and cupboards provide storage for your cruising equipment. A sit down, forward-facing nav station is aft of the U-shaped settee to port. The galley is to starboard in the pass-through to the aft cabin. A head with separate shower stall is in the port pass-through and accessible from the salon or the aft cabin. The aft cabin has a walk-around centerline queen berth with custom mattress and excellent storage in hanging lockers and outboard cabinets.

Galley
Aft of the main salon to starboard is the large galley with 8' of continuous counter space if you include the stove top cover and the two large cold boxes. The cold boxes are both top and front loading for ease of access. Both of the boxes have Sea Frost refrigeration systems and one is set up as a freezer. There is a Mariner Regal three burner propane stove with oven and a Microwave completes the outboard side of the galley along with five storage drawers, a retractable cutting board, five cabinets above and five dish racks behind the counter! The deep double SS sinks are mounted amidships on yet another counter space. It is equipped with H/C pressure water plus both fresh and salt water taps with foot pumps.

Master Stateroom Aft
The aft master stateroom has an island queen berth with a huge amount of storage space provided by a matching set of two cupboards with louvered doors and a large open locker between the cupboards on both port and starboard sides. There is a small vanity with mirror that folds away on the starboard side along with three drawers and a large hanging locker. Ventilation is provided by a large opening hatch and two opening port lights. There is direct access to the owners head with a separate stall shower.


Guest Stateroom Fwd
The fwd guest stateroom features a large V-Berth with a hanging locker to starboard. There is extensive additional storage is cabinets with shelves. The guest head with shower is just aft to port.
